Abreu Takes Out The Garbage

A few weeks ago he was left for dead, a piece of garbage to be placed at the curb. There was talk that he was old, finished, past his prime. Now, in the month of June, Bobby Abreu is hitting .488 with 12 RBIs and 11 walks. He's one of the reasons why the Yankees are on their current winning streak which, last night, was extended to 7 with their 4-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

I know it's only been two weeks, but from the way the so-called experts were talking, you'd have thought he'd never have a two-week stretch like this ever again. For that matter, you'd have thought the Yankees would never have a two-week stretch like this ever again. What do those "experts" have to say now? That they were wrong? Never in a million years.

Are these the only things the "experts" are wrong about regarding the Yankees this year? I doubt it. I seriously doubt it.
