A Pain In The Groin

Breaking News: Roger Clemens will not make his next start against the White Sox on Monday, thanks to his right groin.

MLB.com says the groin is "fatigued." In his LoHud Yankees Blog Pete Abraham is calling it a "strained" groin. Abraham also says the Yankees will probably call Kei Igawa back up from the minors to make the start on Monday.

Did the Yankees know about this? Is this why they didn't have him start against the Red Sox this weekend? Were they hoping he'd feel better in time for Monday? They're supposed to make a formal announcement about the injury after today's game. Let's see how they spin it.
