Andy Pettitte's agent told the Houston Chronicle that the lefthander will be back to pitch for the Yankees in 2008. That's great news for Yankees Universe.
Does this mean the deal for Johan Santana is off? (I certainly hope so.) If Hank Steinbrenner stays true to his word, all interested parties should find out tonight for sure whether or not Pettitte will be the Yankee's only lefthanded starter in 2008. Tonight's deadline will definitely be easier to stick to with Dandy Andy back in the mix.
