According to Heyman, Jeter, Rivera and other Yankee veterans were unsatisfied with what they saw as a lack of communication from Girardi during the season. Okay, be unsatisfied. Be upset. Be angry. But don't (as some have deduced) stop playing hard. Peter Abraham thinks that this disagreement with Girardi might explain why the Yankees scored fewer runs this year. If it is, it's totally unacceptable and un-professional. How could seasoned veterans who've won championships just mail it in because they have a problem with the manager?
There's talk around the blogosphere and traditional media about how Cashman, Jeter or other veterans should talk to Girardi about his communication skills. But, who will talk to Jeter and his teammates about their un-professionalism?
