CC Sabathia: An Injury Waiting To Happen

The Brewers have made an offer to CC Sabathia. It's rumored to be in the $100 million range. It might as well have been in the $200 million dollar range because they have no intention of signing him. They squeezed every bit of juice out of him in 2008 and will toss his rind to that big-market team whose mouth is watering the most. My big fear is that it will be the New York Yankees.

Since he was traded to Milwaukee before the trade deadline, the Brewers have treated CC Sabathia like a machine. A pitching machine. I know he's a big, strong guy, but it's my opinion that he threw way too many pitches for the Brewers this year, and it'll come back to haunt whatever team that eventually signs him. He'll get injured middle-way through the season or will just get tired and won't be effective, all because the Brewers were selfish enough to use him and throw him onto the scrap heap for some greedy, money-flashing team to grab up.

I have one message to the New York Yankees: Stay away from CC Sabathia. He's nothing but an injury waiting to happen.
