Clubhouse Manager Holds Auction To End Domestic Violence

Tom Klackley is the clubhouse manager for the Trenton Thunder, the Yankees AA affiliate. In 1997 his wife's sister was murdered by her husband in "the most senseless, tragic act of domestic violence." After grieving for some time he decided to take action to help bring about an end to this type of violence.

In '97, with the help of Phil Hughes, he collected a slew of game used signed hats, gloves, spikes and photos. A little over $2,600 was raised and the money was split between the local domestic violence shelter and a local Trenton youth baseball group. They did it again this year and collected $5,000. Now they're having a new fundraising drive and they hope to do even better. Tom's holding an auction for the memorabilia on ebay. One-hundred percent of the profit from the sale of the items will go to the shelter and each item will come with a certificate of authenticity from the Trenton Thunder.

So, please do your part to help end domestic violence. Click here and get started by placing a bid on ebay.
