New York Yankees Fragrance Review, Pt 1: For Her

Opening Day at the Stadium is finally here! If you'll be at the game today, Albert Pujols and the Angels won't be the only things you'll see.  The Yankees will be unveiling their new fragrances: New York Yankees For Her and For Him.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get my hands on some samples of NYY For Her. The accompanying literature has a tag line of "New York Yankees For Her is a fun, inviting scent that captures the playful spirit of the Yankees girl." The creators are calling it a "fruity gourmand scent" with notes of guava, plum and apricot nectar on top, strawberry blossom and Tiare Flower under those and sandalwood, vanilla and musk at the base.

I love gourmand scents but I am not crazy about fruity scents, so I wasn't sure about this "fruity gourmand." However, after I wore it for a few days, I decided that I did, indeed, like it, especially when the sandalwood, vanilla and musk notes surfaced. A friend I shared it with also liked it:

"It's not overwhelming. It makes you feel fresh [and] it smells pleasant."--Sabrina B.

So, did I whet your appetite? If you won't be at the Stadium anytime soon, you can buy the fragrance at Macys. You can also go to the scent's official website and visit its Facebook page for more information.

Enjoy and go Yankees!
