New York Yankees Fragrance Review, Pt 2: For Him

As I mentioned in my previous post, the Yankees will be unveilling their new fragrances at today's home opener at the Stadium. I loved New York Yankees For Her, the women's fragrance, but I also wanted to write about the men's fragrance, simply called New York Yankees.

The fragrance's description reads "New York Yankees Fragrance epitomizes the winning style of the greatest team in baseball, capturing a sporty and confident attitude."  The creators are calling it a "fresh woody scent," with notes of bergamot, coriander and blue sage. Under those are crisp Ivy Leaves, Orange Flower and Geranium, ending with patchouli, sandalwood and suede.

I gave my samples to two gentlemen who wore them for a few days and reported the following to me:

"If you don't want to get hit by a pitch, switch and get hit with a whiff of Yankees Fragrance and you too can be a hit."--Walter T.

"I find the scent to be refreshing and crisp. It reminds me of cool waters used to exhilarate one's mind and body. I especially favor the sporty and sensual appeal of the lingering aroma long after the first application....If I am to comment on the name of the fragrance, New York Yankees, then here is mine: 'If you're going to bear the title champion then you must have the scent of one!"--James G.

So, again, if you won't be at the Stadium today, you can purchase the fragrance at Macys, or go to the official website and visit the Facebook page for more information.

Enjoy, guys, and go Yankees!

Update, 4/23/12: Mariano Rivera and Curtis Granderson have been named brand ambassadors for New York Yankees Fragrance.  Mo will make an appearance at Macy's Herald Square this thursday, April 26, to help launch the fragrance.
