ALDS Game 3: Yankees 3, Orioles 2

Even if it hadn't worked, it was the right move to make.

Alex Rodriguez is 1-12 with 7 strikeouts this postseason. It was the bottom of the 9th inning and the Yankees were in danger of being down 2-1 in the ALDS. It would have been crazy not to pinch hit for him. Joe Girardi decided he didn't want to look crazy and, as a result, the Yankees are in position to win the series tonight.

Remember Spring Training? Remember when it looked as if the Raul Ibanez signing was a huge mistake? Ibanez is now the most clutch person on the team. What an amazing player.

As for Alex Rodriguez, the media is giving him kudos for the way he handled being pinch-hit for. Why the kudos? Why is everyone surprised at how he handled the situation? Has no one seen how the guy has matured over the years?

Of course not. This is Alex Rodriguez we're talking about here. Not painting A-Rod in a negative light is criminal. It's a fire-able offense for members of the media and grounds for institutional commitment for fans.

Phil Hughes vs Joe Saunders tonight. Sounds like a winnable game. Go Yankees!
