The Walter Johnson Award is the BBA award for top pitcher in the league. It is akin to the Cy Young Award. Here is my ballot:
1st Place, David Price, Tampa Bay Rays
2nd Place, Jered Weaver, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
3rd Place, Justin Verlander, Detroit Tigers
This was a tough one. Price and Weaver were both 20-game winners. Weaver was in the top 3 in most pitching categories but, Price led in ERA. I'm a traditionalist, so ERA is the difference-maker for me.
One more award: The Stan Musial Award for the most valuable player. Tomorrow.
