Poll: The All-Time Gotham Baseball Team

While baseball writers submit their ballots for next week's Hall Of Fame announcements, those of us who don't have a vote are relegated to reading the explanations of those writers as to why they voted or didn't vote for certain players.

A few of those players (Mike Piazza, Time Raines, etc) spent some of their best years on New York City teams. While they may or may not be enshrined in Cooperstown this year, they will always have a special place in the hearts of fans who live in the baseball capitol of the world.  From the Dodgers and Giants of yesteryear to the Mets and Yankees today, New York baseball fans have had much to cheer about over the years, and much to debate about.

Mark Healey, one the game's best bloggers, understands this, and he has put together a ballot for an all-time New York baseball team. Called The All-Time Gotham Baseball Team, it includes every position, manager, ballpark and owner. The good news is that you don't have to be a professional baseball writer to cast your vote. Simply click here to go to the polls.

I voted today and I can't wait to see the final results. Have fun, fellow fans, and good luck to all the candidates!
