Cervelli, Biogenesis, and a Crazy Theory

So now Francisco Cervelli's name has also been found on records linked to the Biogenesis Clinic. Cervelli, for his part, has denied any wrongdoing. In a series of tweets last night he stated the following:

This could all be entirely true and he could be totally vindicated. But, what if he was lying last night on Twitter? What if Francisco Cervelli did purchase and/or use PEDs?

If he did, it might explain something.

At the end of Spring Training last year, the Yankees shocked everyone, including Cervelli himself, by telling the young catcher that he wasn't making the team and that he was being sent to Triple A. He remained in Triple A for virtually the entire season.

No one, to this day, can figure out why this happened to Cervelli.  But maybe this is why. Maybe the Yankees found out that he had been using PEDS and were so angry about it that they banished him to the minors.

It might be a crazy theory, but it's not impossible. Perhaps we'll find out if it's true sooner or later. In the meantime, there is less than a week to Pitchers and Catchers. The waiting is almost over. I'm beyond excited, and I know you are, too.
