Ryan Braun and MLB's PED Problem: What Needs To Be Done

I was very happy about Ryan Braun's suspension until I heard the following:

He will lose only 2% of his money during the suspension and will make more money in 2014 than he was scheduled make this year.

The money is where it's at, and as long as that is true, these guys will continue to use PEDs. What needs to be done is this:

1) The next collective bargaining agreement (CBA) should say that contracts will be voided if players test positive or are found to have purchased PEDs. One such violation is probably unfair and should result only in suspension (100 games), but two are just perfect, as far as I'm concerned.

2) Once a player's contract is voided, he may pursue another contract but, he should have absolutely no margin for error. One violation should result not only in a voided contract but also a lifetime ban.

This probably is not a perfect scenario but, it certainly is better than what is in place now. MLB and the players association need to get to work on this as soon as possible.

Get 'er done, guys!
