Twins' Broken Dreams Continue Against The Yankees

The Yankees beat the Twins again last night, continuing their dominance over Minnesota which began after Ron Gardenhire was named manager. Unlike the previous game, there were no records set last night. They got a lead, the bullpen made it close and Mariano Rivera came in to close it out. Yankees win, theeeeeee Yankees win.

Speaking of Ron Gardenhire, it was he who came up with the idea to construct a rocking chair made out of broken bats to present to Rivera as the Twins' retirement gift to him.  Pretty cool, right?

Fittingly, it's called the Chair Of Broken Dreams, for all the bats Rivera broke, as well as, I suppose, the dreams the Twins have had, which Rivera and the Yankees have broken over the years.

The Yankees will attempt to continue breaking those dreams in the final two games of the series, before returning to the Stadium this weekend. Good luck Yankees, and a good time to everyone in Yankees Universe.

Happy Fourth Of July Weekend!
