Rob Refsnyder On The Yankees & Being Adopted

In case you weren't aware of it, there is a very interesting article in the New York Times today about Rob Refsnyder, one of the Yankees' top prospects.  Perhaps it is because of the Times' paywall, but the article doesn't seem to be getting much "play."

It's an in-depth piece about how baby Kim Jung-tae was born in South Korea and later adopted by the Refsnyder family at the age of five months.  Now, not only is Rob Refnsyder a future star of the Yankees, he is a future spokesman for adoptees and their families.

Very few people are aware of the many issues that come up when a child is adopted by a family whose race is not his/her own. Refsnyder seems to have taken those issues in stride. I hope he continues his success, both on and off the field.

If you're not stopped by the paywall, you can read the article here.
