Yankees Lose...Pardon My French But...

The Yankees lost their fifth straight game last night. The Blue Jays won their 10th straight. Toronto now lead the AL East by a 1/2 game.

Season over. Wait 'til next year.

Pardon my French but, fuck that shit.

The 2015 baseball season did NOT end last night, as so many Yankee fans seem to think. There is still more than a month to go, and it includes 10 games with division-leading Toronto.

Just step back and take a panoramic view of the entire situation. If you do that, you'll see that things only LOOK like hell: Toronto makes major deadline trades, goes on to sweep the Yankees in the midst of a 10-game winning streak, giving them the division lead, while, at the same time, the Yankees make, essentially, no deals, while losing five straight during a team-wide hitting slump, dropping out of first place.

It's what you call a perfect storm. But storms don't last forever. They end, and people recover and move on. The Yankees have it in them to do just that.

Why? Because there's only one thing wrong with them: They' aren't hitting. They've pitched well and they've defended well lately (especially Didi Gregorius), but the bats have been silent.  Don't forget, they hit VERY well leading up to this point. This isn't 2013 or 2014. This team can hit, and they WILL hit.

That's all you should be focused on. Not on the fact that Toronto made trades and the Yankees didn't. And speaking of trades, all of you who think the Yankees sat on their hands leading up to the deadline can just go shove it. Did you learn NOTHING over the past 10 or so years? Do you really want another old, over-paid superstar on the roster, i.e, David Price? Do you really want to see Luis Severino become a star on another team?

I don't. I remember players like Doug Drabek and Willie McGee, who shined for other teams after coming up in the Yankees' farm system.  The Yankees remember it, too, and they, like me, are sick and tired of it.

So, keep all these things in mind for the rest of the season, which is far from over.

I'll say it again (say it with me): Fuck that shit.
