So it wasn't Severino's fault that the eight-game winning streak ended (although, it would have been nice if, after Pete Kozma's error, Sevy had picked him up). The blame for the loss can be placed solely on one guy: White Sox pitcher Miguel Gonzalez. Gonzalez has been beating up on the Yankees ever since he was in the division pitching for Baltimore, but I can't remember him pitching better than he did last night. A truly stellar performance.
It's hard to move on when something like this happens. However, what other choice is there? The page must be turned. These things are a part of the game, just like death and taxes. They are a part of being a fan as well, just like cheering and, in some cases, blogging.
Actually, blogging doesn't always stay a part of being a fan. Not all pages need to be turned. Will mine? That's a story for another day.
