An Award For Judge, Another Win For Yankees

Yesterday afternoon, one of my favorite follows on Twitter referred to the upcoming series finale against the Blue Jays as a "punt game." That sounded about right when you looked at the pitching match-up: Marcus Stroman vs CC Sabathia.  However, neither pitchers had it and, thankfully, the Yankees came out on top with an 8-6 victory.

It was also a series victory, which let me breathe a sigh of relief. It sucks to lose a series to the Blue Jays, even if they are a last place team. Their place in the standings would have made a loss especially embarrassing. Instead, I can hold my head up high! (Okay, I'll calm down.)

Right in the middle of things last night was, once again, Aaron Judge. Judge hit his MLB-leading 13th home run of the season. He became the youngest player in history, at age 25, to reach that total in his team's first 26 games of the season. Oh, and before the game he was named the American League Rookie of The Month for April.

Judge is becoming a star before our eyes. A lot of fun to watch. Congrats, and keep it going Aaron.
