Yankees' Bats Pound Royals For Second Straight Win

You can't predict baseball, Suzyn.

Or, can you?

The Royals' Jason Vargas entered last night's game with a league-leading 1.01 ERA. A loss for the Yankees for sure, right?  However, during the game it was announced that Vargas has terrible lifetime numbers against the Yankees. Those numbers then proceeded to get a little worse.

It never fails to amaze, seeing a team dominate a particular pitcher for so long, even when the team changes personnel. Today's personnel, by the way, is outstanding.

Everyone in the starting lineup got at least one hit, with Aaron Hicks homering and driving in three. Michael Pineda recorded another quality start. Dellin Betances recorded his first save of the season. Yes, the save opportunity would not have been necessary had the underbelly of the 'pen done its job. But, I'm nitpicking.

They go for the series sweep tonight with Jordan Montgomery on the mound. Keep 'em coming, boys.
