Oakland Agoraphobics Hand Yankees 6th Straight Loss

Where to begin?

So many things went wrong on the Yankees just-completed West Coast road trip. The bullpen was completely ineffective. Aaron Hicks, Gary Sanchez and Adam Warren sustained injuries. Masahiro Tanaka continued, for the most part, to suck. Luis Cessa was the wrong spot starter.

I'm probably leaving things out, but whatever. I'm just glad this damn trip is over. The players have a much-needed off-day today, but we fans need it just as much. After all, it's hard to hold your head up after your team is swept by the Oakland Agoraphobics.

The Oakland Athletics are 9-25 on the road this season. Nine and 25! Can't predict baseball? Shove it, John Sterling. The Agoraphobics are 22-13 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Too bad it's one of the ugliest ballparks in MLB.

Tuesday the Yankees will try to regroup against the Angels, who they lost two of three to last week in Anaheim. The Red Sox, will be in Kansas City, and I believe Chris Sale will be on the mound for them. Yeah, I forgot to mention Boston is now tied with the Yankees for first place in the AL East.

Rest up, everyone. It's going to be an eventful week.
