Will we be seeing the MLB debut of another Baby Bomber this series? After Starlin Castro strained his hamstring, the speculation and rumors began. Tyler Wade was pulled from his game with Scranton-Wilkes Barre and, before the Railriders game had even ended, he had left the ballpark his team was playing at in Syracuse. Girardi had no comment about Wade, other than to give reporters a brief scouting report.
After his game Castro said he felt good, that he'd stopped running "before the pop." At the very least, he will be day-to-day. Wade, a lefty hitter, probably would not play in the next two games against lefty pitchers. But, we'll have to wait and see, after the team figures out how to get him on the 40-man roster. For now, find out more about the young man who could possibly become a Big Leaguer this week:
Hope to see you soon, Tyler.
