Yankees Lose Game To Angels, CC To Injury

Don't start planning the Chance Adams welcome wagon just yet, Yankee fans.

I'm so glad I slept through this game. CC Sabathia's hamstring injury, added to a tough extra inning loss is obviously tough to take. But, I'm hoping that, just as they have weathered other injuries this season, the Yankees will weather this one as well.

It helps to stay positive, and it's easy to stay positive when your team is 14 games over .500, in first place in the AL East. Those two things mustn't be forgotten if we are all to stay sane during this latest setback.

Anyway, Chance Adams. Again, he's not on the 40-man roster. He's only made a few starts at AAA. What is most likely to happen is Domingo German will make CC's start this weekend in Oakland.

Tyler Clippard definitely will not be starting. Geez, he shouldn't even be relieving at this point. Aroldis Chapman can't come back soon enough! They're still hoping he'll join the team in Oakland. In any case, as soon as he's back, Clippard will be given an inning he can (supposedly) handle. Or, better yet, maybe he will be DFA'd. Hey, you can only hope, right?

Pineda gets the ball tonight. He hasn't been much of a road warrior this year. Now's the time to change that.
