After A Yankees Win, Some Personal News

After their Odysseus-like experience last week, the Yankees finally made it to Kansas City Thursday. By the end of the weekend, they had righted the ship, having taken two out of three from the Royals. It was their eighth straight series win, something they haven't done since 1998.

Back in 1998 I was still eight years away from leaving my full-time job to begin what turned out to be a freelance writing career. I supplemented my writing by working part-time for an organization I have been with for nearly nine years.

Two weeks ago I was offered a promotion by this organization, which I accepted. It is a full-time position and I am very happy to have gotten it. 😁

You may be asking, why am I announcing all of this here? The answer is that, because of  the long commute to and from my new job, and a few other issues I am dealing with right now, this post will be my last for a while. I will decide this off-season whether or not there will be posts in 2019 and beyond.

Thank you all for your support over the years. In my next post, which, hopefully, will be after the Yankees win the World Series, I will either announce plans for the blog going forward, or give a final goodbye.

Enjoy the rest of the season, everyone. 💓
